Windows evet log is also very hellpfull while developing projects for web. Floowing code sample will get and display error message from evet log.We'll need to includeDiagnostics namspace to our web form. Later we need to create our own an Eventlog object.
EventLog objEventLog = new EventLog("System");
foreach (EventLogEntry ent in objEventLog.Entries)
{
if(ent .EntryType == EventLogEntryType.Error)
{
resp += ent.TimeGenerated + "\t" + ent.Message + "\n<br/>";
}
For we loop all entries in event log enties. Enty types mst be according to errors. Because evet log can handle warningsand we will try to display errors.You may also dislay error date/time and source.
